What I’m loving this week:
this hot chocolate
Maybe it’s cheating to include one of my own recipes? I don’t even care if it is, because with the temperatures lately, I seriously make this stuff three or four times a week. It’s so rich and has a deep salted caramel flavor. I use almond milk when I make it and it only has about 200 calories.
this music video
I didn’t think it was possible for Taylor to top her Shake It Off video. But then Blank Space came out, and it was awesome and theatrical and perfect. So really, I had no idea what to expect from her Style video, I just knew she’d be able to make it completely different from but just as memorable as the others.
On any given day, the HONY Facebook page has the power to me laugh or cry or swell with pride at the wisdom of regular people. But did you know they have a book? They do, and it has all the emotion-inducing ability of the Facebook page. Don’t think the book is repetitive, though; it contains tons of photos and quotations that you’ll never see online, plus a few pages at the front with the story behind the whole project.

I’ve been a faithful Money Saving Mom reader for years. In addition to the innumerable tips I’ve learned about frugality, I’ve also enjoyed her posts on life and parenting. This post, though, that I saw last week, has resonated with me more than anything I’ve read in a while. In the post, Crystal talks about the need for moms to take a “time-out”: time to do anything, even for 10 minutes, that recharges and refreshes her as a person. Amen.
I bought this waterproof wireless bluetooth speaker a couple weeks ago for J. for Valentine’s Day. He loves it, which I expected. I didn’t think that I’d love it, too. I borrow it when I shower and it’s the best thing to happen to family dance parties since this video I mentioned above.
