A unique selection of Father’s Day gift ideas, perfect for the impossible-to-buy-for dad in your life.
1. sandalwood shaving kit
Pampering isn’t just for women anymore. Give Dad the male equivalent of a bubble bath kit with this sandalwood -scented shaving kit.
If fancy oils and creams aren’t Dad’s thing, grab this Nivea aftershave– it’s my husband’s favorite.
2. team pride toolbox
Is Dad a handyman? Does Dad wish he was a handyman? Or does Dad just jump at any opportunity to represent his favorite team? If the answer to any of those questions is yes, a team logo toolbox might be just the gift you’re looking for.
If you’re buying for a dad who’s just starting his tool collection, this toolbox will help him get started.
3. darth vader shirt decal
Come on. Darth Vader? I am your father? Star Wars gear for Father’s Day is a no-brainer. This decal is an iron-on transfer, meaning you can put it on Dad’s favorite brand of t-shirt or sweatshirt.
If you’d like to buy something ready-made, this Star Wars Darth Vader t-shirt is my favorite.
4. periodic table “father” mug
Got a chemist in your life? J. teaches high school chemistry, so he appreciates all things periodic table. This mug is just the kind of thing a science nerd would appreciate.
For a dad who likes to cook or grill, this apron is an amusing choice.
5. grill branding iron
J. loves red meat. So does my dad. For a lot of guys, grilling is an art form. What better way to brag about your barbeque prowess than to stamp your steak with your initial?
If the dad in your life is a big sports fan, maybe a logo brand is more his style.
6. men’s messenger bag
Does your dad use a briefcase? Or does he still carry his old college backpack? Upgrade him to a hip messenger bag.
If you aren’t a fan of the Backcountry bag, this one from Fossil is a sharp-looking choice.
Don’t see anything that grabs you? A few months back, I wrote a post with Valentine’s Day gift ideas, many of which would make perfect Father’s Day presents, too.

Great ideas!
Thank you, Lisa! Have a great Wednesday!
Love the Darth Vader shirt! My husband is the hardest dad to shop for…he works in the electronics industry so he basically can get whatever he’d like for less, used to golf but now doesn’t (those were the easiest gift-buying days)…
Love the element mug! That’s totally my kind of thing! Lol… Have a great week, Abby!
Thanks, Cristi! I tried to include a little something for everyone. Glad you liked it!
Abby,
We have loads of Star War fans in our family…it would work for all of us! And the messenger bag is awesome…might have to get one for me….oh wait it’s dad’s day LOl I am still figuring out my husband and the boys gifts….perhaps one of these will do the trick.
Leah
My husband has a messenger bag similar to the one I shared, and trust me, I’ve been tempted more than once to get one just like it! I hope you find something here that will work for you! Thanks for the comment, Leah!
Wow! So many great gift ideas! The Darth Vader shirt is perfect for my son-in-law!!
Thanks, Dianne! It’s right up my husband ‘s alley, too!
Love the team pride tool box….my hubby would definitely love that gift! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing such clever Father’s Day ideas! Really like the Darth Vader idea.
Lory 🙂
I love the messenger bag! My husband just said this weekend he needed something smaller than a duffel bag to use when we go “glamping.” Thanks for the tips… I think I’ll have to check that out!
I think a messenger bag would probably hold about as much as a backpack, so it’d be a great glamping accessory. You’re welcome!
Great Father’s Day gift ideas!
Thank you, Katie! Have a great weekend!
great post! my dad is literally the hardest person to shop for! thanks for the ideas!
You’re welcome, Jacynta! I hope you find him a great gift this year!
I loved reading your post for Father’s Day! The Star Wars is my favorite, but that could be because I have son named Lucas, and I always tease him with that saying… except, I use the word ‘mother’ instead of father, ha ha!
Aw, that would make the Star Wars gift even more special! Did you click through to the other Star Wars link? I liked that one even more 🙂
I love the smell of sandalwood, good gift ideas, I may get that one!
Thanks, Nicki! There were other scent options, like lavender, but I don’t know many men who would willingly use that scent 🙂
Love the Darth Vader decal. I am your father for Father’s Day. LOL!
I know, Fanny, I couldn’t resist!
Love that mug!! I just might have to get that 🙂 Thanks for the idea.
You’re welcome, Ann! It isn’t Father’s Day related, but my husband uses and loves a tervis tumbler with the periodic table.
